Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Review!

Hey loves! I was dying to try this foundation so I could tell you what I think and now I’m unsure! This foundation is amazing because it has a pump. Any foundation with a pump wins extra brownie points but on this foundation it may not be enough for it to just have a pump.

I want to first talk about the consistency of this foundation, it says dream liquid mousse but it is just a normal foundation consistency. It is thick and creamy at least! It obviously is full coverage because of how thick this foundation is! Because it is so thick it was difficult to blend and just didn’t go on as smoothly as I hoped. You can work with it and blend it it just takes a little longer a little more work.

Next the color selection! I got the second lightest shade because the lightest shade wasn’t available at CVS. Normally I can play between the lightest and second to lightest shade and be just fine. This foundation says light on it. This is not light! It is so dark! I’m sorry but even if I had gotten the lightest shade I still think it would be too dark. It is an orange foundation and because it has SPF in it, it oxidizes….then it goes from an orange to a reddish orange. It is such an unnatural color that I had to try to use a lighter powder to lighten it and make it look more natural. That immediately ruins the foundation for me. I am very light skinned and can not pull of orange! Nor do I think anyone could with this foundation. Though I want to love it, using it so far has been dreadful. I will continue to try to make it work.

So far though I give this foundation a No and I won’t be reaching for this. It isn’t a complete lose considering it has a pump and feels natural on the skin but everything else brings it’s rating down by far! I give this foundation a 4/10!
Have you guys tried this? What did you think?

I’ve been wanting to try it, but I’m going to take your word for it and pass on it! I’ve only used like the powder mousse back in the day, before I knew how to do my makeup lol, i liked it but it would dry out really fast. I’m sure the formula has changed since then, that’s been like 10 years ago lol. nice post! 🙂

I’ve used this off and on for a while. I actually quite like the texture and never had troubles blending, but I too found that it oxidizes. I can still wear it but only under very specific circumstances. I didn’t know it had SPF! The Canadian version of the bottle doesn’t say that! 😦
